Behold, the electronics aisle of casa de heidikins. I knew I liked red and everything, but the other night as I was studying/cramming for my last final I saw these items grouped together on my coffee table and started laughing. Red laptop, check. Red hard drive, check. Red phone, check. Red iPod, check. Red camera, check. Red-and-white peppermint kisses, check check and check. Vaguely latina names for all devices, check^5.
Additionally, I FINISHED MY SEMESTER YESTERDAY!!! Can I get a big, fat double-woot! *Woot! Woot!* This means I only have two more semesters before I graduate. I’m one of those masochistic people who begins worrying about the next semester the day after my current one ends. I’ve been looking at my classes and reading lists and what-not and, hoo-boy, it’s gonna be a doozy.
- Intermediate Microeconomics (I took the pre-req for this class SEVEN years ago. Hold me.)
- Probability and Statistical Inference for Economists (I don’t even know what this means.)
- Asian Economic History and Development (Sounds awesome. Or scary.)
Now, if you were paying attention back there you’ll notice that not only was I taking classes for this same blasted degree in 2003, but you may (correctly) infer that I started this degree a semester or two (or four) prior to 2003. For all you college freshmen and even sophmores, let this be a life lesson for you. Seriously, you may want to write this down.
NEVER, EVER, EVER IN YOUR WHOLE LIFE THINK THAT DROPPING OUT OF COLLEGE IS OKAY! EVER!
Got it? Maybe I need to repeat for emphasis.
I DON’T CARE WHAT HAPPENS, NEVER EVER EVER LEAVE YOUR UNIVERSITY WITH THE NAIVE THOUGHT THAT YOU CAN JUST GO FINISH LATER. IT IS A THOUSAND TIMES HARDER TO GO BACK THAN YOU THINK IT WILL BE.
Have I made myself clear? Good. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to freak out a little about textbook prices, tuition increases and the general state of misery and mental exhaustion that will assault me (again) in approximately 3 weeks. Sigh, being a student is so awesome. *Sarcasm.
*No, this is not a grossly delayed post about the Holy War, although I will forever wear my grandpa’s sweater and cheer for the Utes!

Woot Woot! I hope the last two semesters fly by. (BTW class names like those are why I dropped by business minor. Plus the D in macroecon. I blame the professor.)
I have a similar color problem, but my vice is purple. You’re just consistent.
