I once saw moose/meese/moosen in Colorado and WOW are they HUGE! Breathtaking, really. Don’t want to run into one of those on the highway for sure.

Moose are cool. So is vinegar. Vinegar can truly do everything. This week I discovered that cups of vinegar make great fruit fly traps!

There could be a poacher trying to steal the baby moosen for the circus, and you and Mama joining forces to rescue it…

My father-in-law takes his students to that monastery on occasion and usually brings back some honey. YUM.

I have been to this monastery. Isn’t is amazing? So serene. I love it. I laughed out loud at your mountain biking story. My husband is a big mountain biker. I am doing the best I can to get involved in it so I can go with him. My first experience riding, I biked off a bridge, ripped a whole in my shorts, exposing my buttocks and also ripped up my elbows and knee. (still have scars) But I got right back up and continued my trek up the hill. I love mountain biking. But you do have to watch out for unexpected rocks and apparently bridges in the trail.

I’ve seen moose a few times up at Silver Lake. Once, there was one right on the path, chomping at some tasty green bits. He was a huge bull and he was literally close enough to touch, but the ranger was there making sure the humans were safe. The moose didn’t seem to care, he just kept eating. Anyway, I’ve heard of that monastery, and I’ve heard that those monks make some really yummy jam, but I’ve never been there. Maybe someday…
