Congrats on getting out of, what looks like, the storage room from hell! Also, I like the new office.
Here are my decorating tips: If the office is smaller, I can’t tell from the picture, I would get a really nice,framed, big mirror and then some art work. Or you could get three or four little mirrors and group them together (ikea has some great cheap mirrors). I like the idea of the black and white art work, but if you found some art work that had a rainbow of colors that would work too. Or even a wall sculpture could be cool, (maybe expensive, BedBathBeyond has some sculpture pieces that don’t break the bank). Also, I agree with the plant idea, but I wouldn’t just put all the plants on the ground, I would get shelves to put on the wall and put plants on the shelves. Though it looks like there might be a good place under your desk for a plant. Good Luck. You should post the decorated office pictures when you are done!

Ok so firstly congratulations!!! Secondly I’m just a little bit jealous, as you may know I want out of my place of torture so bad, but unless I win the lottery (you never know LoL) I’m stuck in the hellmouth for a while! Well at least until the economy picks up again!
I would say that a really cool calendar is practical as well as pretty, other than that I have maps all over my desk so I’ve learned all the areas near me! Ok gonna get going work is screaming! Seeya Hugya *G*

wow, that’s crazy the old space. i think it says a lot about the company that they would let it be like that for weeks and weeks. glad you’re out of there!

and as for the aubergine wall…love it! i think you’ll be totally inspired by those colors. at my old job, we had some drawings that had been done by a cartoonist that we took with us everywhere. we had them framed and put up on the walls. everyone loved it, especially when people came to visit. oh, and at my work there are quite a lot of models of ships–my favorites are the tankers, but with the container ships, it looks like you could get in and play if you could just lift the glass covering. ships are nice. you could get one in lego perhaps?

All I can think of is framed photos on the yellow wall. Black frames to match the desk. Choose photos with lots of color to balance out the mustard yellow. Or you could frame programs from Broadway shows. That would be cool. And plants. Lots of plants.

But most of all, congratulations on finding a job you really love.

I love the colors of your office! I definitely don’t have any office decorating tips. My office consists of a desk in my classroom that is usually piled 3 feet high with things I need to get to and doesn’t have a grown up sized chair.
