There are times when I actually look forward to feeling sick. Not well enough to go to work? That seems like a damn fine excuse to spend the bulk of the day in bed catching up on a new, favorite book. Or watching 18 episodes of David Boreanaz as a hott and steamy FBI agent Bones.  However, being forced to go to work makes for a craptacular sick day.  Not having the energy to even hold up a paperback makes for a craptacular sick day. Having Handsome rescue me from my sicknastiness with a humidifier, more drugs, orange juice, a little back rub and a box of Sour Patch Kids was, by far, the best thing about my whole weekend.

Also, my first post is up on Very Bookish.  Read along with me in The Elegance of the Hedgehog.

Ugh. I’m sorry you’re sick AND working. That’s just no fair.

I need to get that book!

I used to work a job where I’d pray to be hit by a truck so I could spend a good couple weeks in the hospital rather than at work. Not anymore! But being sick AT work is the absolute worst.

Being sick at work sucks. I often cough without covering and spray as much as possible in the hopes someone sends me home. It never works on the right people and all the wrong people just give me nasty looks. Ha, I kid. Hope you’re feeling better soon!

Being sick is no fun. And I totally watch Bones just for David Boreanaz (and his belt buckles) yum.

Something about a quick and dirty stomach flu = 5lbs lost :) The rest of the sicknesses you can only hope that you don’t feel so crappy so as not to enjoy the time off.

I have a new blog. Re-link if you will and keep following! http://lindzlarubia.blogspot.com

Feel better!

I hated my old job so much that I was just short of chasing people with colds in the hopes that they would cough on me.

Glad you got some Sour Patch kids out of the deal! Hope you feel better soon!
