Christmas is coming, the (proverbial) goose is getting fat, won’t someone please put a penny in heidikins’ hat. If you haven’t got a penny a half-penny will do, if you haven’t got a half-penny then God Bless You.
I have a list of items I would love to give to people I love…however those same people love to read my blog, so I won’t be posting that here. Instead it’s my Dream Wish List. I realize that many of these items–SLR camera, diamond earrings, Christian Louboutin heels, pony–are a bit far-fetched. I also realize that some others–world peace–are even more far-fetched. However, that doesn’t have to stop a girl from dreaming, right?
In no particular order, but generally from the left-hand side:
- Princess coat from J.Crew
- Comfy slippers, from anywhere
- Fancy jeans, long enough to wear with traffic-stopping heels
- Dell Computer, cherry red
- World peace–however trite this may sound, this is quite serious.
- SLR Camera…drool!
- Yoga mat
- Diamond Earrings
- No-limit Barnes & Noble giftcard
- Christian Louboutin suede peep-toe mary-janes…sigh.
- Cashmere cardigan, yum!
- Books, books, and more books
- Pony–this is not a joke, actually
- International Vacation to somewhere fabulous
What do you want for Christmas?

It’s going to be a pretty lean Christmas around these parts, so my wish list only has two items on it, and it’s likely I’ll only get one of them (my family decided to draw names from a hat this year and just buy a present for one person each, instead of everyone buying a present for everyone.) But that’s ok, this way it’ll still be a surprise!
The only two things I want right now are a new pair of sneakers, and a bottle of Clinique Happy In Bloom perfume.
Comment by Laura 2008 December 2 @ 2:05 amLOL I haven’t heard anyone else ever out side of my family sing the goose is getting fat except the words we use are “please put a penny in the old mans hat if you haven’t got a penny, a heypenny (slang for a half penny) will do” good list, with you on the world peace! I’ve got all the cloths a girl could ever really need but those are cute!
Comment by grungedandy 2008 December 2 @ 6:47 amSo my wish list would be Cannon digital ES405 or possibly ES50D SLR and about 4 lenses, macro, telephoto, good 50mm & a general all rounder! A good tripod, a gorilla pod for a SLR, a remote, 2 spare batteries, 2 x 1gb sd cards & a camera back pack this is not going to happen though as no one I know has that kinda money & I really wouldn’t want any one to spend that kinda money on me anyway I would feel far too guilty! Even if they all got together I would still feel bad. This is what I am saving up for.
What I will be getting is books and a few DVD with probably a few craft things as that’s what I will expect nothing too expensive & some of the things I’ve already bought (as people don’t know what to buy me I buy them for them to give to me I gave up a long time ago on being surprised) anyhoo gonna stop now didn’t mean to go on! LoL well done on the run whens the next one! Seeya Hugya *G*
What do I want?
A cool colored, knee-length coat (like the ones from J. Crew except that J.Crew stuff doesn’t fit me).
A fun dress
About fifty sweaters and jackets for Boston
Comment by Janssen 2008 December 2 @ 7:26 amWe just had our wedding and got all these presents (including a DSLR!!!), and so I’m feeling very gifted already. I would love that Kate Spade purse I’ve been eying, though.
Comment by Jess 2008 December 2 @ 8:11 amI love your Christmas list. Because even if you don’t get everything (or anything), it gives you a chance to think through what you want (out of life?!).
All I want for Christmas is a few days off from work. Getting married in October means I’ve been getting gifts for months. And they’ve all been INCREDIBLY generous. When people ask me what I want for Christmas, I say either nothing or something from our registry. Because really? This holiday season is all about US, not just ME.
Comment by Nilsa 2008 December 2 @ 9:16 amIf I could get someone – anyone – to pay for my law schooling expenses, such as books, rent, food, and tuition, that would be great. As far as reality goes, though, I’m actually thinking more about downsizing right now rather than collecting gifts, since I’m going to have to truck all my stuff across the country, and the realization of how much stuff I have is daunting.
Comment by Sra 2008 December 2 @ 12:51 pmWhen I win the lottery, I am totally buying you that pony. Oh, and I just got some gohgeous J Brand jeans at TJ Maxx. What a bargain!
Comment by Gwen 2008 December 2 @ 1:14 pmthis sounds like one kick ass christmas list to me. and i hope you get it all, if not that maybe half?
Comment by katelin 2008 December 2 @ 6:17 pmDSLRs are a gift from the gods! Pentax makes a great and affordable camera, even though their marketshare is small and they don’t advertise. Think about the K200D.
And world peace is something I would like to see too.
As for the pony, here’s to hoping ::raises glass::
Comment by Harry 2008 December 2 @ 8:36 pmI have that dell in flamingo pink & it is fantastic. Granted, all I know about computers is that I like them to work & I cried when they came out with an orange dell the week after I bought my pink one.
Comment by Sarakastic 2008 December 2 @ 9:59 pmOoh, fun – can I treat this as a tag?!
Comment by Allie 2008 December 3 @ 8:50 amSUCH a great list! I need to create mine sometime soon…
Comment by Z 2008 December 3 @ 11:40 amFabulous list. This will make it much easier when people ask me what I’d like to see under the tree–I’ll just send them here, with the addendum that THAT DOG would not appreciate it if we acquired a pony…
Comment by Trish Ryan 2008 December 3 @ 11:51 amThose shoes are AMAZING.
I asked for practical things this year – a springform pan so I can make cheesecake, a few cookbooks, and a sleeping bag. Wow, I’m dull.
Comment by Larissa 2008 December 3 @ 4:28 pmYou have to appreciate a women who knows what she wants! All of these items would look good on you/sound just right for you! The completely dreamy gift would be the Barnes & Noble unlimited card. Wow! I’ll put that on my list of wishful thinking for the future!
