During the winter I kind of feel like my footwear should be confined to black, red, brown and, well, that’s about it. So when summer rolls around–and with temperatures in the 90′s for the last week, its “around”–I think it’s time to let color come out to play, I wear skirts or shorts to show off my feet and pick the fanciest footwear in my closet.

Now that, my friends, is what I call a red shoe!

There’s something about orange that just says “summer!”

So retro, so adorable, so “summer”!

I bought these for Miss Daisy’s first birthday, poor little bug.

Green has always been my favorite color, love!

Tweed, bow, peep-toe…love!

Ohmygoodness, these are so SJP I can hardly stand it!

Purple suede mary-jane’s. Jess would be so proud.

Happy Friday lovelies!

I decided the other that orange is my new color obsession.

Sorry, decided the other day. You know what I mean.
Comment by Gretchen 2008 June 27 @ 10:03 amLove love and loooove. But I disagree about winter shoe colors. Those orange ones would look awesome with gray wool pants!
Comment by Molly 2008 June 27 @ 10:16 amI was WAITING for the purple ones the whole time I was scrolling down! So cute! Also, I see no reason not to wear colorful shoes in the winter.
Comment by Jess 2008 June 27 @ 10:45 amLove the blue SJP shoes! You are too cuteand stylish!!!
Comment by Vanessa Christensen 2008 June 27 @ 10:51 amI’m so jealous of your many shoes!!
I think you can definitely wear colors in the winter, just not open toe and sandal styles.
Comment by Lindsay 2008 June 27 @ 11:47 amWhat a great post. I can’t even decide what pair I like most.

Comment by Britt 2008 June 27 @ 2:53 pmIt’s a good thing we are just blog friends because your retro shoes would go mysteriously missing otherwise. I know stealing is wrong but they are just so cute.

Comment by Cinderelen 2008 June 28 @ 1:06 pmThere was a day when I used to wear pretty high heel shoes. And if I still wore them, I’d so be coming your way for a consultation. You have great taste!

Comment by Jen 2008 June 30 @ 8:45 amThose blue babies are gorgeous! Isn’t it amazing how a great pair of heels make you feel about 10 lbs lighter and 10 times cuter? They do for me anyway…even though it is a little awkward to be like 6’2″ in heels. I love you, and your fantastic blog!
Comment by Lynze Wardle 2008 June 30 @ 11:01 amoh man you have so many cute shoes, i’m so jealous. granted i don’t know if i could wear any of them, i’m so bad with heels, haha.
Comment by katelin 2008 June 30 @ 12:52 pmI love the retro and the tweed…makes me realize that, as much as I love my own shoe collection, it’s missing PATTERN. Must rectify that ASAP
