It is May for Crying Out Loud!
2008 May 1, 9:36 am

It is May 1st around the world -except in China and Australia where it is possibly the 2nd already.

Here in This Great State, it snowed last night.

And has been snowing all freaking morning.

I realize this is not a concentrated problem, and that several states in the Mountain West are experiencing the white stuff.

This does not make me feel better, and it does nothing to eleviate my allergies.

April Showers are supposed to bring May Flowers, not May Snow Flurries!  Suddenly, I am a bit afraid of June.

On the upside, the seat heaters in New Car work.

First of all…I entirely agree….what is with the snow? Second, How am i supposed to try to name a car without knowing what kind and color it is? I sure would love a picture! I’ve got to see the personality of the car! Third, can you send me your mailing address please, maybe an email address? THANKS!

At least you get to have fun with seat heaters! But BAD SNOW. BAD.

you know… I thought about your car name (yes, I thought about it because apparently I have nothing else to do ;) . And, I really think that Thelma Louise is the way to go because 1) Great female icons, cultural reference, homage to feminine independence. Ya know? That’s all good stuff, and 2) Since your last car had my middle name in it (Mae), it’s only fitting that this car would have some portion of my first name in it… Louise, right? Oh and BTW, all of the feminine L-O-U-I-S names — Louise, Louisa — are warrior names. They mean things like “Fights with honor,” and “fame and war.” If that’s not badass, I don’t know what it.

NO MORE SNOW! It isn’t snowy in NYC, but it is chillier than I’d like it to be. I am SO over chilly.

Oh snow…. That is one of the reasons I moved from upstate New York after college, it snowed nonstop for 8 months straight. Now that I live in NC (only one more week until I move!) and it only “wet flurried” for an hour one day in the last two years, I kind of miss it. OMG I can’t believe I just said that!

We had snow last week in Chicago. It’s ridiculous. We already had a crapalicious winter. Why rub it in?

ARGH! Snow in May is just wrong. I never thought I’d suggest that anyone move to Boston for the great weather, but…
We’d love to have you :)

I’m also in Utah & I just had to lug my space heater back out of storage where I put it two days ago because it was almost May. I shivered all last night but refused to get the heater because surely this madness will stop soon. Then I shook my fist at the sky & said “you won this round”

That is pretty crazy. I am sending warm weather vibes from California your way!

Cha! Global warming, my foot! It’s freezing there, freezing here, and just about everywhere else.

The weather here has been totally wack too, and it’s making me mad. I’m ready to wear spring/summer clothes darn it.

Dude. I completely understand what you are going through. I had to go searching for MITTENS the other day. MITTENS!

I suppose I shouldn’t tell you that it has been between 68 and 75°F in Valencia where I spent the past four days, and I have one heck of a sunburn. No, I really shouldn’t be telling you that, that would be just cruel. ;) Snow in May, that sucks!
