Wandering the Strip
Viva! Las Vegas! Last time I went to Vegas I was more-or-less bored with the city. I liked the fountains at the Bellagio, but that was about it. Well, I have a new-found regard for Sin City, this trip there was hardly any porn on the sidewalks, I had great company and had a bit of a good luck streak. No, I didn’t win a million dollars, but had a more enjoyable time than I thought I would. Sunday evening and Monday morning we (Dreamy McPreemie and I) wandered around the Strip, stopping at all my favorite spots.
We saw the Chihuly ceiling at the Bellagio…
And the fake-Roman statues at Caesar’s Palace…
And the miniature-but-still-not-tiny Eiffel Tower at Paris…
And the faux-but-still-believable painted ceilings at the Venetian…
And, my favorite, the fountains at the Bellagio… which I didn’t get a great picture of due to the fact that the best pictures are taken at night and I had no camera battery left by that point in time… Google it, they are gorgeous. McPreemie and I had a blast, we window shopped, we laughed at some of the Vegas atrocities (Dolphins painted on a Ferrarri… who would drive a luxury car with dolphins painted on it? I ask you?) and we had our share of playing around and laughing -and while McPreemie is probably going to be upset at my posting this pic on the internet, it serves him right! He knows I have a blog and he knows he would be mentioned… so of course I’m going to choose a picture where he looks like a dork – you pose for it, I’ll post it. That’s for sure!
Dear Bloggophites – I give you Dreamy McPreemie:

Got something to say?
Yes, blog embarrassment just sort of goes along with the territory. He’ll get used to it.

Also, Dale Chihuly went to my college! So, I feel pretty much like I’m responsible for that ceiling. You can thank me later.

And really, if you’ve been there, you’ve been to Europe. They do a great job at recreating all of it.
Comment by Isabel 2007 September 21 @ 8:18 amWhen I was in Paris, I said to a few of my fellow travelers regarding the Eiffel Tower: Yeah, we got one of them in Vegas. I was only kidding, of course.
