Mawwaige, Mawwaige is what bwings us togevah towday.
My roomate, aka The Wench, and I drove to Southern California for Matt & Brette’s wedding. They got married in Newport Beach in an absolutely beautiful ceremony. Inbetween the ceremony and the reception Jane & I managed to a) find our way to Mission Viejo without getting lost and b) started the massive project of making Caesar salad for 400 guests. That’s correct, 400 guests. Cozy would be so proud. Besides the salad, Jane & I also kept on top of the fruit bowls, and the rice pilaf, and the chocolate fountain. We were amazing! Hour after hour, chopping lettuce and mixing salad and arranging watermelon and honeydew and stemming strawberries. Honestly, we had a blast. We kept commenting on the kitchen-nazi, the one who was paranoid about the ice and the gingerale mix in the punch, and whether or not people dip cantalope in chocolate (she says they do… I say that’s nasty!) People would come in and ask us who we were and we’d simply explain that we were the neighbors. (Matt has lived across the hall since the beginning of the year and the newlyweds will live in the apartment just below ours when they return from their honeymoon.) Congrats to Matt & Brette, you make an absolutely adorable couple. Love you both!
