Filed under: There and Back Again
Seven Falls, just outside Colorado Springs, is located at the end of a box canyon and is notable for seven, distinct waterfalls created by a river crashing down the rocks. The photo above is taken from a look-out point opposite the falls, and I am freezing to death. It was wet and gray and standing on an outcropping of rock, in the wind, and the rain, and the cold was perhaps not the most brilliant of ideas. However, the one good thing is the canyon wasn’t crowded at all. JenKneeBee and I decided to brave the weather, and the 225 stairs (seen in the background, look closely) to climb to the top of the falls. The stairs were wet, and high, and kind of scary, and made my calves cramp up -but the view was great. And now I can blog about that one time I climbed seven waterfalls in Colorado Springs.

I love the pic of the stairs. But yeah, I might have been too big of a chicken to climb them. Good for you!
