Another great thing to watch is the Discovery Channel's miniseries called "Planet Earth." It is on Sunday nights, and it is fabulous. Not only does it make you aware of so many things going on in so many parts of our planet, with ecosystems and animals and shrinking liveable spaces for them, but it also makes you want to do something to save them. And, it is just plain cool.

The first installment on Antarctic and Arctic regions was filmed over a one year period of dudes living in tents on the ice. Totally awesome, and some amazing shots of baby penguins, and polar bears and igloos and .... ice? (tribute to sanka from Cool Runnings, you know, that 1997 classic?)

That bag is great! Aussie supermarkets are weeding out the plastic bags, which is good. We just re-use canvas ones, which is cool. Yay!
